Blueberries.

Mmm, I love snacking on blueberries. Blueberries are loaded with disease-fighting antioxidants and phytochemicals. They are ranked as having some of the highest levels of antioxidants among all fruits and vegetables. Not only can they reduce your risk of heart disease and cancer, but they are great for reducing inflammation in the body. Chronic inflammation is the root cause for most diseases, so any food that reduces inflammation in the body can be considered pretty powerful. Research even shows that blueberries support brain health, helping to improve memory! As if you need any more convincing… blueberries are also rich in manganese, which is important for healthy bones, helps regulate blood sugar levels, and plays a role in converting proteins, carbohydrates, and fats into energy. So ya, I guess that’s why blueberries are considered a “superfood” 🙂

I love blueberries mixed into my Overnight Oats, Greek yogurt, or blended in a smoothie.

And let’s be real – we all need a little dessert now and then, so how about some Blueberry Cobbler?! (*please note* I fully intended to have a healthier version recipe of said Blueberry Cobbler for you, but I was not happy with it last night – still needs some tweaking!) Looks good, though… right?

I’ll work on perfecting the recipe for y’all!
